Meet the Companies

SugarTrends, based in Germany, defines itself as “the worlds online-mall for the good shops”. SugarTrends is a market place where you can find unique shops with unique products with high quality for reasonable prices. Already operating worldwide, having stores in Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy and India and users in many different countries, their main ambition is to become the most popular global place to find the good minded stores. They are going to Lisbon, in Portugal, in order to expand operations in this country.
3f is a Mexican startup that makes unique and customized sports apparel, allowing the user to create her own suit through an app. By combining an app with a physical product, 3f is able to send its suits to almost any part of the world. Mexico is the country where they are currently operating, but they soon will be expanding to other countries and that’s why they want to go to Milan as a SXP 2013 startup.
Galika is a Mexican company, officially incorporated in 2009, which solves the companies’ lack of effectiveness of their training and development programs and develop the potential of their human resources through experiential education. The next big step will be to create an online platform that will bring the experience of experiential training to a flexible format accessible at anytime, from anywhere. They will now spend a few weeks in Hamburg, Germany participating in Startup eXchange Program.
Founded in Portugal, TUIZZI.com is the easiest way to buy, sell and manage outdoor advertising, being an intermediary between Advertisers, Media Owners and Media Agencies. Unlike the traditional business model that Media Owners have been using, the traditional salesman, TUIZZI.com platform will complement the existing one adding a new way of selling and an easy way to access both clients, direct advertisers and Media Agencies. They are growing everyday and soon will be launched a new version, expanding to other countries like UK. At Startup eXchange Program they will be in 3 of the locations that we have – Berlin, Hamburg and Poznan.
Based in Italy, Oluck.it is a startup looking to increase the visibility and effectiveness of advertising for advertisers, reducing costs in a sustainable way. Oluck.it uses as “push” element a fun and addicting lottery, totally free for the users, in which prizes are daily awarded. At the same time, they offer a functional and economical solution to all those companies who need to promote their products or services, joining a huge potential market. In the medium/long term, Oluck wants to offer a more efficient and environmentally alternative to obsolete existing forms of communications (such as flyers, throw in tons per day). Oluck is at the moment into the Italian market but, as they have an international focus, they are going to Madrid to participate in Startup eXchange Program.

What they say about us

“It’s [...] striking how some accelerators are innovating and launching start-up exchange programs between different countries, such as Startup Exchange Program in Portugal and five other countries...”

What

Startup Exchange Program is a mentor driven exchange program designed to scale-up startups. We select the most resourceful, creative, and disruptive startups to move to an European tech hub for 4 to 6 weeks supported by a local incubator/co-working space.

Why

In a world where communication technologies are nearly universal and free, most startups have the potential to scale their business and become global companies. With all this, it is hard not to be an optimist and not want to work with startups from all over the world and help them expand to new frontiers.

How

We will select 20 for-profit, technology based companies looking to expand into new markets. And we are teaming up with 8 incubators/co-working spaces that will host and support 2 startups for a period of 4 to 6 weeks.
