Vienna

The Startup Scene

Vienna ist the capital and largest city in Austria. Located in the center of Europe, it unites a vivid history with an eagerness for innovation. In recent years, the startup scene in Austria has grown tremendously and startups from all over the place are setting up their (temporary) homes here – be it for incubation, a brief visit to Pioneers Festival, the Nr. 1 startup & Tech conference in Central Europe, or some even for good.

Network Partners & Opportunities

sektor5 is known as the best privately funded coworking space and incubator in Austria. As of todaysome of Austrias most successfull startups started out at there or are somehow connected to it. What makes sektor5 stand out are the strong connections tovarious VCs, business angels and advisors in the area. Right now sektor5 is working on several self-developedevents and roadshows to support the Austrian and CEE startup ecosystem.

What

Startup Exchange Program is a mentor driven exchange program designed to scale-up startups. We select the most resourceful, creative, and disruptive startups to move to an European tech hub for 4 to 6 weeks supported by a local incubator/co-working space.

Why

In a world where communication technologies are nearly universal and free, most startups have the potential to scale their business and become global companies. With all this, it is hard not to be an optimist and not want to work with startups from all over the world and help them expand to new frontiers.

How

We will select 20 for-profit, technology based companies looking to expand into new markets. And we are teaming up with 8 incubators/co-working spaces that will host and support 2 startups for a period of 4 to 6 weeks.
