Madrid

The Startup Scene

Madrid is an extremely social city. It hosts many offices of large tech corporations and companies, like Google, Facebook, Amazon, Spotify, and local players like Tuenti and Idealista. As a prime tourist destination, it is also a must stop for any foreigner going to Spain, which makes it a great hub for startups to interact with a global network. Apart from that, life is cheaper, food is better and the weather rocks.

Network Partners & Opportunities

Tetuan Valley is best known for being the first non-for-profit pre-accelerator program in Europe. Their goal is to promote local Entrepreneurship and regional development towards technology.
Read their Manifesto for more details.

What they say about us

“It’s [...] striking how some accelerators are innovating and launching start-up exchange programs between different countries, such as Startup Exchange Program in Portugal and five other countries...”

What

Startup Exchange Program is a mentor driven exchange program designed to scale-up startups. We select the most resourceful, creative, and disruptive startups to move to an European tech hub for 4 to 6 weeks supported by a local incubator/co-working space.

Why

In a world where communication technologies are nearly universal and free, most startups have the potential to scale their business and become global companies. With all this, it is hard not to be an optimist and not want to work with startups from all over the world and help them expand to new frontiers.

How

We will select 20 for-profit, technology based companies looking to expand into new markets. And we are teaming up with 8 incubators/co-working spaces that will host and support 2 startups for a period of 4 to 6 weeks.
