The Fall already arrived and it’s time for a final update about SXP 2012. Running a pilot program is always a little bit unpredictable (it’s like a rollercoaster trip) but, after a few months, we can already see some of the impact of this first edition.

After the Summer of Startups 2012 Program, Vitasensis is now starting pilot programs with city halls in Finland and Sweden; FoodinTech is preparing to move to Germany. On other hand due to some problems on the business growth, Bioddicted’s team is pivoting their idea and last week they closed a crowdfunding round to take part of program in India with a new project.

Congratulations to all the startups and entrepreneurs who took part of this first journey, their passion and ambitious was very important and inspiring for us!

What’s next? Our team is already planning a pivoting for 2013.

Stay tuned because we are eager to present you a program that is going to literally boost the internalization of startups.

We knew from the beginning that challenge startups to move to another country having them to pay great part of their expenses wouldn’t be a easy task. Anyway we decided to move on with this idea, running a pilot program to test the concept and then discover what would be the challenges and difficulties of it.

As you know we challenged startups from 6 different incubators to take part of our program and after a few days we received great feedback and a lot of interested startups but, due to several reasons, especially considering that startups lifecycles are usually rollercoasters, we ended up having 2 teams actually moving to another country and another one currently planning its participation for the beginning of September.

In the upcoming weeks we will tell you more about the experiences of Vitasensis and Bioddicted in SXP.

Stay tuned!

In the middle of a hectic economic period, the startup founders can’t just look to their local markets! There are a lot of opportunities out there but, in many cases, the startups have some difficulties to explore or conquer foreign markets. In order to help them in that mission, StartupX team partnered with 6 incubators in 5 European countries, to design Startup eXchange Program. The program is based on a simple premise: enhance opportunities for startups in foreign markets. How? By enrolling them in an exchange program where they will get the opportunity to move to other European country to test/develop their product/service in a foreign market during 8 to 12 weeks supported by a local incubator. We strongly believe that SXP will have an impressive impact in the startups development by unlocking several opportunities so, as we used you say, let’s get this party started and stay tuned, because there is a lot more to come!
